SpiralMuse
CREATORS |
 |
  |
 |
Our mission is to connect and inspire women as community.
We are doing this through our web site www.spiralmuse.org, women's
circles, community gatherings, a mentoring program for women and
our new home that houses women-run businesses.
SpiralMuse.org is our virtual canvas for women's expressions.
It is a place where any woman can contribute her artwork, essays,
poetry, visions for the world, events, workshops, invitations for
action, spiritual insights, children's expressions and even sell
her unique wares and creations. We have been described as the i-villiage
for women's self-expression. We don't buy images, artwork or stories;
everything on the site comes from women's inspired, volunteer contributions.
We host a number of women's circles in San Francisco including a creative art circle, a sensuality circle, and a co-ed new moon ritual circle. We also have a circle of women who have created a SpiralMuse community of women in Seattle.
Right now, there are women interested in starting SpiralMuse circles
in Phoenix, New York, Los Angeles, Santa Cruz and Chicago. Each
circle develops its own purpose and unique expression, and, we support
the circles through coaching (in person and over the phone), development
of themes for the circles, and leadership training.
Athena Wisdom Exchange is a mentoring program we started in 2004. The pilot program took place from January 2004 to June 2004, in the Bay Area with 20 pairs of women. We are doing
this program in collaboration with another organizations, pairing women 25 - 35 with women in their later years who can mentor in relationship, work, and life.
The SpiralMuse Home of WellBeing is a space that we are renting to massage therapists,
expressive arts therapists, coaches, consultants and alternative
healers to provide services to our community and support the manifestation
of women-owned businesses and practices.
