As a 30 something, trans-cultural Chinese woman, educated in 3 continents (China, Australia & Europe) in the Media/Law/Business, Cecilia has written topical newspaper articles for 3.5 million readers. She has worked in Public Relations in London. She shares her vision of the world around her as she travels around, seeing the bridges that are built and also experiencing the unfairness that are swept under the proverbial carpet. She works 3 months a year in human rights projects in Kathmandu Nepal and is currently completing her MBA in Surrey and a St-Martins Fashion design course in London. It is her plan to eventually finish her novel "Guanxi", her e-book and her art collection in time for her first solo show... eventually...her gallery agent in India will certainly be happier with her if she did!

Fried Sugar Throat

Peel me like a pear
I don't care
wear me anyway you want
as long as I'm soft
drawn open
a fried sugar throat
a resting bone
breath like strawberry
and a sore sore throat
so sore I rub it
I love it

Do whatever you want
I don't care
as long as I'm soft
tasting tangerine
caught like a thief
whispering vines
in between teeth

My hands wander
my eyes wander
my heart wanders
I'm fine as long as you
let me go on about with
this sweetness
a fried sugar throat
going sweeter
with every turn

Peel me like a pear
I don't care
spin me round
see what you create
little jewel box handler
wear me anyway you want
I don't care
as long as I'm soft
sore and sweet.
