Celebrate the
New Moon
and
send us YOUR
experience
Dear Global Muses,
We just love how in tune with
and connected we are with our natural earthly, lunar, and solar cycles. Even in the midst
of all of our individual visions
and accomplishments, we are bound and united, for we are all earthlings under the same sky. |
However you celebrate will be perfect. Then...share with us all. Write an email/send photos, this is YOUR canvas to share your Gatherings! Send all creative expressions to:
events@spiralmuse.org
If you would like to submit a new moon gathering in your area or find out more about any SpiralMuse gatherings, contact: m@spiralmuse.org for more information
There are plenty of ways we can weave magic, connection and play at each of these events, so, please don't hesitate sharing your ideas for community and celebration. We're very open to expanding these rituals this year. Whenever you see a sweat listed, it will be important for us to create an additional ritual for those that may be mooning. ;p

I celebrated the new moon with four other women last night, a time of turning within under a moonless sky. We honored the dark goddess Kali, the goddess
of destruction. Fierce and bloodthirsty she dances the dance of mayhem and death, striking fear into the hearts of

mortals. Yet, those who honor her and her ancient wisdom know that with endings comes rebirth, that life always follows death. Her devotees do not suffer her wrath but instead become like children to her and receive any wishes one asks for. MORE>>

New Moon
Gathering on Bakers Beach,
San Francisco
What more can I say but it was beautiful! When I arrived
to the beach I was surprised to see so many women in
attendance. For some reason I thought the city had emptied
out with a mass migration to the Burning Man festival

Nevada desert, but was delighted to see a full circle of
15 women, much of whom I had never met. That evening was filled
with new women, new blood and new wisdom flowing into a spiraling
vortex of juicy womanhood. Wow, next time the new moon event
comes around, and it will with 28 days, be sure to clear your
schedules and attend so as to fill your spirit up with vibrant
energy.
The New Moon circles are different then any of the other
circles I attend and believe me I go to and often lead several
different circles, but this one is dear to my heart. It is
the playful nature of the circle that touches my heart more
then anything. We sing, we dance and tell stories. The light
of each woman shines bright against the backdrop of the black
no moon sky. It is as if each woman is a star whose beauty
gets to come out in full glory. This time my heart was more
open then usual, for I gave up the idea that we where separate
and stepped into unity, that is, the unity that encompasses
each of us. Oh ya, we think we are separate but here's a secret:
We are not, we are united and through this unity we as women
have an incredible opportunity to grow, expand and touch other
individuals in this world to offer peace and good will. So
come to the next New Moon circle and experience for yourself
the love and giving that occurs within this Spiraling Muse,
spiraling universe circle.
Best Snap shot memory: All the women where sitting around
a beautiful and hand made alter in the sand singing songs
to call in their spirit. One woman began singing an ancient
African song and suddenly all the women stopped to listen
to her. "Please, repeat the words to us again," we asked and
she did. It was a song about the sea and calling in the waves
and honored her beauty. "To really honor the song and ocean
we must get closer to her," the woman said. So we rose to
our feet, holding hands we formed a long line and slowly began
to approach the ocean while singing this most ancient song.
Oh how it touched my heart. Several times over the weekend
the song returned to my mind as I hummed it softly while being
transported back to the beach with my women.
Just so you know: Depression cannot exist in the presence
of laughter and joy. Thank you women for coming out to honor
the New Moon and the sea.
Love, Kristi Langerak

Dearest Muse Hearts,
My mum, my niece Daisy and I did a New Moon ritual together
when I was home in England. It was so beautiful to share that
part of my life with them and I was moved to tears as we sat
together before the altar we had created in my mum's living
room.
Daisy was very excited to create the altar (this was her first
ritual of this kind) and put down flowers, candles, drawings
she had created, next to the salt in a terracotta bowl, and
the wooden candlesticks of my great grandmother that my mother
had put on the altar.
Daisy decorated us with her jewellery (and had several costume
changes - she's definitely my niece!!). We sprayed each other
with lavender water, held hands around our altar and Om-ed
together (Daisy loves to Om!).
We called out the names of women we loved and beckoned their
spirits (Daisy also called in several of her favourite dogs!).
Daisy lit her candle and made her "wishes" ("I wish for flowers"...),
followed my mum and I. My sister was very present in our blessings
for manifestation of ease, comfort and rest this month, after
giving birth 2 weeks before to Daisy's new brother, little
Archie. Daisy decided we should make music and played her
new bells as my mum and I toned.
My mum and I added our prayers for the world: peace, an end
to greed, hunger, oppression. We Om-ed 3 more times to end
and blew out our candles (and Daisy tasted the salt with great
delight!).
It was such a precious moment for me and I am deeply grateful
for SpiralMuse holding this and making it possible in my life.
I felt very connected to you all.
With love, Pen
