This lunar cycle takes us through fired up territory, the arenas
of our personal and collective consciousness that are both at the
edge of war and in a prayer for peace. We are in the Aquarian domain
where our goals and visions for the bigger picture hold our focus
as we build to a full moon that reveals where the individual fits
in to this scheme. Our journey through the next few weeks may be
the fateful era in which the threat of war reaches a climax. It
is time for all of us to conjure our inner personal and global plan
and prayer for peace. We are making the final rounds in the astrological
year. For the most part, we get a new and full moon in every sign
of the zodiac once a year. This new moon is in Aquarius and the
next one will be in Pisces, these are the final two signs of the
zodiac. The largest spheres of humanity and spirituality are involved,
and we get wake up calls and messages from the other side. Keep
your receptors open...
February 1, 2003 ~ New Moon in Aquarius
We start the cycle seeking our dream vision for peace. Seed your
intentions for this highly charged lunar cycle. Open to your calling.
Can you find the music that calls and inspires you in the midst
of chaos and confusion? The planets involved in this new moon let
us know that the transpersonal forces of insight and intuition are
within us, guiding us. On the outside, personalities may be large
and dramatic. Go into the darkness of this new moon and meet the
God of the Sea, Neptune, and ask him what you can do to serve this
global need for peace. Tune into your higher spiritual purpose.
There is an open window to take action on this front.
February 9, 2003 ~ Waxing Moon in Taurus
Feel the energy building. This half way point (to the full moon)
is an opportunity to tune into our bodies. Slow down. You may be
getting signals through your physical tension about how all of this
is affecting you. Listen to your body, and allow the pain and tension
to guide you into a deep healing. Allow this experience to ground
you more fully into your prayer. The tension is asking us to make
choices about how we are going to be in our lives.
February 16, 2003 ~ Full Moon in Leo
Please look to Dancing With Heavenly Bodies for more information.
Under other circumstances, this full moon would shed light on how
personal creativity and expression fits within a community context.
However, the current climate of world affairs and planetary positions
light the fire in this full moon with a few extra gallons of propane.
Our prayer for peace is still alive here and the planets support
that. They also tell a dramatic story of ego, war, and fanaticism.
We are experiencing yet another alignment related to the events
on September 11. Will this be the completion? It will most likely
take us to another level. On a personal level, you can be responsible
by being aware of where your ego is running the show. Where are
your adolescent needs for attention and will power manifesting powerfully
in your life? Can your higher purpose and prayer for peace help
align your personal interests with the collective?
February 23, 2003 ~ Waning Moon in Sagittarius
Ahhhh, let go into the wave of mutability. The sun has now moved
into Pisces and the moon is squaring the sun from Sagittarius. Both
of these signs are mutable signs, allowing for the presence of adaptation
and shifting perspective. Release now from the past three weeks
as this lunar cycle draws to a close. Prepare for the next new moon
on March 2, both the sun and the moon will unite in Pisces for the
final lunar cycle of the natural/astrological year. Now is the time
to open the doorway to magic and prayer and allow spiritual guidance
to influence you as you prepare for the building solar energy of
the coming Spring.
